Description

A Unique Opportunity in One of the World’s Most Distinctive Locations

Saint Helena is a place of striking contrasts—remote yet connected, traditional yet ambitious. At the heart of its infrastructure lies Connect Saint Helena Ltd., a commercially operated, government-owned utility provider at the heart of life on St Helena Island. Employing over 70 people, it delivers electricity, water and wastewater services to the island’s community, operating within a regulated and highly visible environment.

The organisation’s focus is firmly on building resilient, modern infrastructure that can meet the island’s future needs.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Project Manager will lead the development and operation of Connect’s Project Management and Delivery Office (PMDO). This role will oversee a diverse portfolio of capital, strategic and operational projects across the organisation. It combines governance, assurance and hands-on project leadership, ensuring projects are well-defined, properly resourced and delivering measurable outcomes.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will introduce and embed best-practice project management disciplines, strengthen organisational capability and provide clear, consistent reporting across the portfolio.

What You’ll Bring

We are seeking an experienced project professional with a strong track record of delivering complex programmes. You will be a confident leader with the ability to influence, challenge and support stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

Organised, analytical and resilient, you will be comfortable managing competing priorities while driving improvements in delivery standards. You will also be motivated by the opportunity to build capability and leave a lasting impact within a unique and evolving organisation.
